Professional Sports 3/24/2003

Spitting, pushing, and fighting are commonplace in sports but are not tolerated in every day life. You can look at baseball, basketball, hockey, and any other sport you can think of and you will see the same thing. Why do we treat Professional sport figures so differently? Due to the greediness of sports figures, professional athletes are not punished in the same manner as you or I. It is like they are in a completely different group that uses an entirely different set of rules. Team owners are more worried about making money rather than setting good examples for young kids and making pro sports fun again rather then a business. Three good examples of the greed are Roberto Alomar, Warren Sapp, and Dennis Rodman. Team owners need to do something to turn this situation around before they have murderers and rapist playing...
