The death of Jesus
The death of Jesus was one of, if not thee must significant events for the Christian faith. It was of course when Jesus sacrificed his life so that our sins maybe forgiven and the reason why his sacrifice was so vital was because it was a `perfect` sacrifice; this means that Jesus was the priest and the sacrifice which meant that it was complete and this is also why a sacrifice like this would never need to be done again, because it was perfect, therefore doesn’t need to be altered in anyway. Christians believe that the death and resurrection of Jesus is the corner stone of the faith. From our general understanding of what took place during Jesus’ death and the run up to it, it was not a very nice ordeal for Jesus to face: it included : many lashes, which would have been extremely painful tearing away at his flesh; humiliation; taunting; a crown of thorns forced into his scalp cutting into his skin; having to carry a very large piece of wood over a long distance...
