Anna Karenina, Anna Karenina, the classic novel by Leo Tolstoy, proved to not only to be a wonderfully entertaining work of literature but also a great impact. The story of a young woman named Anna touched me, and greatly changed my views of the world with her overwhelming charm. Its realistic characters, conflicts and plot lines with the lectures of destiny, death and human relationships were what I valued most. When the novel first began, Anna is displayed as being a saint, someone everyone wants to befriend and be around, a loving wife and devoted mother. However, as the story progresses her character is completely changed as she falls in love with another man, the young Mr. Vronsky, and her one simple life goes on a roller coaster of ups and downs, ending with a dramatic suicide. The author does an amazing job of developing Anna’s character and showing it in a believable way, her life and the extremes it reached.
