Analyzation of a song

“Almost Home” so close but yet so far away.

“Almost home” by Craig Morgan Is one of my favorite songs. This song could have many different meanings. “Almost home” is about an old man recollecting about his childhood, as he sleeps on the cold streets of the night . All in all, “Almost home” is a very touching song.
The song starts by describing the old mans appearance. “He had plastic bags wrapped round his shoes, he was covered with the evening news, had a pair of old war socks on his hands.(Morgan)” The writer, which is also Craig Morgan, uses imagery extremely well in the duration of the song. The homeless man was curled up behind some garbage cans. This is where his dream took place.
