I could go off any jump. Or I can beat anybody in a race. I was so happy with it. I got it for my birthday. Ever summer I would try to ride it every day. Until that one spring morning I woke up. None of my gear fit. I grew to big for the bike. So my dad and I took it to his shop with a for sale sign on it. Then somebody and his son pulled up and bought it. And I sang: A long, long time ago... I can still remember How that dirt bike used to make me smile. And i knew if i had my chance That i could make those jumps at last And, maybe, I'd be happy for a while. But February made me shiver With every flyer I’d deliver. Bad news on the doorstep; I couldn't take one more step. I can't remember if i cried When I sold my dirt bike, But something touched me deep inside The day my dirt bike sold.
