ABORIGINAL SPIRITUALITY

Aboriginal Spirituality is a very important part of their life and way of living. Every day they live and breathe the ways they were taught to believe in the spirits of the earth. Aboriginal spirituality is a life long journey one must take. It is based mainly on the dreaming time and stories passed on from one aboriginal to another. Some people tend to categorize aboriginal spirituality as a religion, however, this is most definitely untrue.

Aboriginal ways are not at all like the customs and traditions of a specific religion. Religion nowadays is considered a structured way of making connections and worshipping a higher being or God. Aboriginal dreaming or spirituality do not worship a higher being or God. Many aboriginal people in our society express their religion by following Christian ways.
