A Tribute to a Friend

Michael Jay white, 76 years of age, died on September 11, 2123 at his home in Pretoria, South African after a brief illness. He is survived by a son Michael jay Jr. a daughter Emily Rose, a sister Daniella Martins, a brother Alphonse White, three grand children and two great grand children”.
That was in the newspaper a week age. Other than the mention of his business and the date and time of the memorial service and place of internment, this brief announcement was the public acknowledgment that my friend had existed. But to his children, Michael was more than a father, to his siblings, more than a brother to his grand children- a wise and sometimes mischievous grandfather, to his great ground children, a loving great grandfather and to me and numerous others, much more than just a friend. There is so much to know about this person than just those few lines above.
