“A Rose for Emily”

The conflict in this story was with Miss Emily, herself. She broke every rule she was brought up to believe in. She had a lover, when that was unheard of. A woman was to marry and have a family, not take a lover. She knew murder was wrong, yet that was her answer to her circumstances. Her decision for all of her actions ruined her life. The only resolution to this conflict would be to change the way Miss Emily was raised. Her father was extremely hard on her. He was very demanding and wanted her all to himself. She had no personal life, which in turn led Miss Emily to make all the wrong decisions in her future.
Miss Emily was a staunch, small, fat woman. She was short on words and had little to say to anyone...
