A Halloween Scare

Unable to control his snickers, Zachory sat in the back of history class covering his mouth. He laughed at the legends his naïve classmates so passionately believed and spoke about. He moved from California to Massachusetts only a few weeks ago, completely against his will. After the tragic death of his mother, Zachory’s father thought it would be best to move to a new place and begin a new life. Zachory was not as prepared to say good-bye to the only home and friends he’d ever known. Emily, who played the role of Zach’s little sister and Daddy’s little girl, still believed that her father knew everything, and thus she trusted that what he was doing was for the best.
