"The Motive of Metaphor" by Nothrop Frye Summary

Northrop Frye's "The Motive of Metaphor" is an essay that discusses the levels of the mind, and the language within each of the levels. Frye states that there are three levels of the mind--consciousness and awareness, social participation, and imagination. He also briefly discusses using metaphors in literature.
