“The United States shall guarantee to every state in this Union a Republican form of Government.” (Article 4 section 4). This statement, taken from the constitution, helps to demonstrate the ideal of the initial statement made in the title. There is more than just this extract to support the claim made in the title, however. Only through looking back at the history of the conception of the constitution, right up to the final draft, and even before it can a proper conclusion be drawn.
Before doing this it is important to define the terms in the question, for in their definition conclusions can be drawn which can help lead to answers.
