Equations used: Area = length * width

Volume = length * width * height

Sabines = Area * a

(a = Absorption co-efficient)

RT60 = 0.161 * Volume
Number of Sabines

Explanation of calculations performed:

First find area for each different surface in room. For example, the floor has a length of 9m and a width of 4.5m, so the area for the floor is 40.5m2.
Then calculate Sabines for each surface at each different frequency using the material’s absorption co-efficient at that particular frequency.
