50 year lifers

It was October 13th 1903
When Bob and Betty did marry.
With Joe and Jane by their side
they were a handsome groom and a beautiful bride.
To Oshkosh for a honeymoon they did go
coming back to settle on Line 5 of Goro.

Farming was difficult but they persevered
and for their efforts they are revered.

Along came Shelly, the first of three
No one knew then the beautiful singer she'd be.

Second to be born was Seil
And that really was a deal
A farmer and son all in one.

When it was time for Vern to be born
The ball park? or the hospital? Betty was torn.
But why not both she thought
