1920's

The 1920s was a time of much entertainment and drastic change. After WWII, Americans were tired of self-sacrifice and bored with high moralism. In many ways, boredom with moralism gave way to the age of entertainment. The economy also prospered after a short recession during which industry converted back to peacetime. Consquently, economic conditions and developments in the arts and entertainment helped create the reputation of the 1920s as the "Roaring Twenties."
