In calling ourselves Christians we should fully recognise that we are followers of Christ. Throughout Jesus’ lifetime and mission he made it his duty and responsibility to aid and help others. Christians can see that Jesus accomplished this by reading about how he cured the sick and performed miracles to save the lives of others. If we call ourselves Christians: followers of Christ; we should therefore follow in Jesus’ footsteps and treat others with the dignity and respect that Jesus has done before us.

In confirmation we are seen as adults through the eyes of the church. For this reason we undertake further responsibilities. At confirmation we reinforce the vows we made at baptism. We also gain further responsibilities, as we are older and wiser, to live out these promises through not only our words but through our actions also.
