XFL

The XFL was a brand new league of football, founded in the year 2000 with the joint-venture between the World Wrestling Federation Entertainment, Inc. (WWFE), and the American television broadcaster NBC.

Football; specifically speaking the NFL; has lately seen by many people and media agencies as a sport that has been only focused on superficial matters such as “big-time, big money”, and has lost the sense of true competition as during its golden age. Examples of this are like skyrocketing players and coach salaries. High ticket prices rising, which constrains families attend NFL games, among others.

Vince McMahon, the entrepreneur who developed the XFL’s project, saw the opportunity of offering what the football audience wanted to see.
