“By the end of ‘Wuthering Heights’ Heathcliff has become a victim of his own revenge. Consider the changes in Heathcliff’s character and what leads to these changes, with close reference of chapter 9”

“Wuthering Heights” is a novel of love, passion and revenge, which was written by Emily Brontë. In this story, the main character is Heathcliff, and the story describes the events which happen around him. Heathcliff is central to its drama, and only with his death does make peace return. In my essay, I will discuss Heathcliff’s character in depth by describing how his character changes, and what leads to the changes. I will also refer closely to the events of chapter 9, then I will consider whether Heathcliff is a “victim” of his own revenge or not.
