Writing about poetry

In this essay it’s going to explain the poetic devices and elements of poetry. By beginning to interpret the poem, and to understand the literal meaning. Once the literal meaning is understandable and then the meaning is expanded into an interpretation. There will be eight poems in this essay discussion poetic devices and elements.

In the first poem I’m about to discuss is a poem by Langston Hughes, a “Dream Deferred.” It asks, and provides a series of disturbing answers to, the questions, “What happens to a dream deferred?”This line is a ground of unresolved conflict. Sequence of images and ides which unite to convey the meaning of the poem. There are five of the six answers to the opeaning question are interrogative rather than declarative. However, to its tentative “Maybe” the sole declarative sentence is far less potent.
