World Studies- Mid evil

The 16th century was a time of new ideas and fresh minds. It was the time creative minds came up with ideas like the Declaration of Independence, salons and the printing press. These ideas revolutionized the world that it is today.
First, on July 4, 1776, the Second Continental Congress formally broke ties with Britain. This action was done by adopting the Declaration of Independence. The Declaration of Independence is a document explained Americans’ reasons for the tie that was broken with Britain. It was beautifully written by the brilliant leader, Thomas Jefferson. In the document, John Locke’s theory of natural rights was restated: “We hold these truths be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” With the ...
