Reflection Paper on World Arms Trade



The statistics says it all. The world that we live in today is a ticking time bomb that is waiting to explode anytime. The war machines of the big industrialized countries are working non-stop manufacturing weapons and bombs to sell to unknowing Third World countries like ours. Tax money is diverted to defense modernization, compromising the nagging basic needs of the populace like safe water, shelter, education and food. When does this madness stop? When half of the world’s population is erased by either a nuclear holocaust or from hunger and disease? Take your pick.

I firmly believe that the arms trade is a nuisance to a world...
