Compare with mainstream (Hollywood) film, ¡§Infernal Affairs¡¨ series is Hong Kong style underworld film. I would like to make a comparison with Coppola, Francis Ford¡¦s ¡§GodFather¡¨ series. The comparison can raise up discussion a lot of issues, such as the story line, actors¡¦ performance, photographic angle and art direction. Firstly, both of them as a series triad film and following the growth of those main actors, in God Father series, which is AI Pacino whereas Andy Lau and Tony Leung in Infernal Affairs. Both movies take a lot of description on the change had took place on them, which is dramatic. Yet the story lines were a bit different. God Father series is a traditional single timeline story, which started from Marlon Brando to AI Pacino. The audience could smoothly following the story line and are much easy to understand.
