The number of women that are in America’s armed forces has been increasing in recent years. Since there has been an increase in the number of women in the military there has been pressure on the military officials to open more opportunities for women in the military. Some of the opportunities now available to women include combat aviation, engineer brigade companies, and intelligence jamming companies. However, do women really have a place or the qualifications necessary to be effective in the positions being available to them? Women have affected America’s military but not necessarily in a good way. As a result of women’s desire to be seen as equals in the military, there has been a double standard for physical requirements.
