Women in medieval history Women in Medieval England Women in Medieval England were presumed to be helpless and weak. With life being very hard during this time as it is, being a woman must have been even harder. Many of the jobs they were given were not power related and had to do with cleaning and maintaining the house. Extraordianry women during this age took it upon themselves to make sure that they were treated with the respect they deserved. Without many of these people the world as we know it today would not exist. Even through all of the adversities and hardships placed against them, these women fought to make something of themsleves. Even with many negative attitudes placed on women during the Medieval Ages, they proved to defeat these attitides with accomplishments that have stood out in time.
