Wolfgang Pauli

Wolfgang Pauli was born in Vienna on April 25th of 1900. Wolfgang grew up in a close family environment. He was greatly influenced academically by his father and his fathers close friend, a physicist named Ernest Mach. Joseph Pauli, his father, was a renowned professor of colloid chemistry. At the end of his high school career, his pursuit of greater learning and his remarkable knowledge of mathematics led him to study the then newly introduced Theory of Relativity by Albert Einstein. This study left a lasting impression on his life. In 1918 he went to the University of Munich to earn his Ph.D. in theoretical physics. In 1921, he graduated with honors. ...
