The Language of Oratory- Essay

For this topic I have researched the speeches of Winston Churchill. I found these speeches on the website www.winstonchurchill.org .

The introductory information to the speeches are as follows.
· ‘Never Give In, Never, Never, Never’- 29 October 1941- Harrow School
· ‘The End of The War in Europe’- 8 May 1945- Broadcast London and House of Commons
· ‘Be Ye Men of Valour’- May 1940- BBC
· ‘To VE Day Crowds’- 8 May 1945- London

I have chosen to deal with each speech in turn, outlining the oratorical devices used in each; I will then conclude with a general comparison on these speeches.
