Wind Energy has become the fastest growing energy source in the present time. It is created by the use of wind, an unlimited resource on the Earth. Wind is created by circulation patterns in Earth’s atmosphere caused by heat from the sun. It is harnessed by specially designed wind turbines to create electricity, or it aids in propelling objects such as boats through their use of sails.
How electricity is created by a wind turbine is relatively simple. As atmospheric winds flow past the rotor of a wind turbine, the rotor spins and drives the shaft of an electric generator. The generator then produces electricity for people to utilize. As long as wind is present, electricity may always be generated for the benefit of mankind.
