Willy loman and his american dream in death of a salesman

Arthur Miller’s “Death of a Salesman” is a play best summed up in its title; it is just that, the death of a salesman. This death is not necessarily the physical end to a human life, but the crumbling end to the dreams of the main character, Willie Loman.
The play was written in 1949 and based on the concept of the American Dream. What is the American Dream? There are many definitions of it and each every person has their own. Most people feel if you have a family, house, car, decent job with an average salary, and a good social life, then you have reached the American Dream. The concept of the American Dream became a popular idea during the nineteenth century when millions of people migrated to the United States in search of better lives.
