The inter-house competitions have restarted with a new innovation this year. In an attempt to increase the participation in the year long competition over a number of activities, house captains have been introduced.

At assembly last week, Mr. Nick Strange of the school’s PE department visited assembly to help the assistant rectors hand out the house captains badges. The house captains will be responsible for organising teams and help in the running and administration of the various competitions. There are boy and girls captains for each year in the three houses of Bruce, McGregor and Wallace who are overseen by senior house captains who have proved themselves over the years as good participants, organisers and motivators. Competitions have already started with basketball for both boys and girls in S4 and in S3 with one of the major events of the inter-house year, the school swimming gala on Wednesday 6th November.
