1.Biography
Wilfred Owen was born in Plas Wilmont, Oswenstry England on the 18th of March 1893. Owen grows up in several other counties in England and then in 1913 moves to Bordeaux in France to teach English in the Berlitz School. In 1914 he tutored Family’s in France at which time he meets the poet Laurent Tailhade.
In 1915 Owen moves back to England and inlists in a London Regiment. Between 1915 till the end of 1916 he is moved to several regiments in England and attends several Officer Training Courses. At which time he graduates Musketry course classified “1st Class Shot.”

On January 1st 1917 Owen arrives in France and on the 12th of January joins the front line at Serre. In the battle one of the men in his command is blinded and becomes the subject of the poem “The Sentry”. During that year Owen in sent to the 13th Casualty Field Hospital suffering shell shock. During his stay Owen meets Seigfried Sassoon and Robert Graves. In November of that year ...
