Every King has his own successor. In the epic poem, Beowulf, the speaker introduces late in the story Wiglaf, a new and important character. He is a new and important character because he complemented Beowulf’s courage and bravery; shows traits of warrior code, he is the perfect subject to be king after Beowulf.
