Why We Crave Stereotypes

Everyone and everything falls into a category. Someone can be a square, a minority etc. The person who decides what category one is in is stereotyping which can be discriminating at times. A stereotype is a generalization about a person or group of persons (a prediction of who the person or group of persons are or what they represent). One creates a stereotype when they can’t or don’t want to get all of the information they need to judge another person. Even some make themselves victims or get used to it because they are different, which makes them victims constantly. A lot of them can actually fall into the category they are put in but some really are different. Everyone stereotypes whether you are a kid, a teen, or adult. Even I admit that I still often do it at times. A stereotype made by one person is simply created by ones prejudice, family beliefs or values, which then creates all types of victims.
