Thesis Topic on Why Sustainable Construction Has Not Grown Exponentially


The construction sector of the economy has been booming for quite some time, predominately in the residential market. However, few construction companies employ the practices of sustainable development. The goal of my thesis is to look into the reasons why more contractors are not building environmentally friendly homes. By researching certain areas such as product availability, cost differences between traditional products and sustainable products, and estimating methods, I plan to undercover the reasons why we are still building in a wasteful manner.
