why lollies shouldent be sold in canteens

In my opinion, lollies should not be sold in school canteens. Reasons such as a healthy diet, sugar content, effect and care of our teeth and financial savings will support my argument that lollies should not be sold in canteens.

Obesity is a growing health problem in Australia that affects many children and young adults. Health Education is a prime resource for children to learn about their body and how to maintain a healthy balance. Lollies, being sold at school canteens, are not a way of promoting this healthy balance. It gives the children the message that the school supports the selling of lollies as a healthy choice.

Children between the ages of 5 and 18 years, spend half their days in classrooms; where better a place to teach and demonstrate the ways and necessity of healthy eating and exercise.
