Verona was a society without leadership and little structure, and because of this fault, the city of Verona caused two young souls to go to extreme measures to be with each other. The lack of leadership and structure in Verona caused the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet. In Verona, the prince was a part of Romeo and Juliet’s tragedy. The feuding families were not good examples for the two kids, which cause for their deaths. And the way the kids follow and look up to their elders all contributed to putting a “plague on both houses.”
In Verona, Italy, the prince didn’t exercise strict authority, which led to allowing young toughs to roam the streets with commotion. From the start the prince did nothing about the tension between the Capulet and the Montague houses.
