Who was the first president of America?

The most obvious of answers would be George Washington, but this would be incorrect! So if George Washington was not, then the question must be asked who was? John Hanson, Samuel Huntington, John Adams, Peyton Randolph, John Hancock and of course George Washington all lay claim to being the first President.
Before the constitution we know today, there were three other congress; “The Continental Congress as The United Colonies of America, the Continental Congress United States of America and the United States In Congress Assembled”.
