Practice Critique

Jesse Jackson, a US democrat, delivers a clear, well developed speech “Who Makes the Clothes We wear” addressing American voters. He makes them aware of large companies that use sweatshops in which humans rights are being violated to produce the clothes we are buying.
Would the consumers still buy Gap t-shirts, Nike shoes, or Neiman Marcus designer fashions if they were aware of the inhuman conditions of the workers that are producing them? All over the world, private corporations are “trampling the rights of their workers in sweatshops.
As this issue is brought to public’s attention Nike and other such companies are getting afraid that such a scandal would waste all the money spent on advertisement.
