When the Music Fades

Dim the lights, cue the music, and turn on the spotlight. Every one is in place, the guitar quietly begins to strum out a tune and it is amplified throughout the building. The drums keep the beat, and the small group on stage raises microphones to their lips. A major concert? No, just a Sunday morning church service. The song lyrics are projected onto a screen so everyone can clearly read them. More screens are hanging around the auditorium so people are able to see what’s going on up front. Many churches pride themselves on being traditional and not conforming to the world, but every day, more and more worship is incorporating technology into the praise of God.
