When Antipholus of Syracuse entered Adriana’s house, why did he not question why she was inviting him to dinner?

Antipholus of Syracuse is not Adriana’s husband, yet she thought that he was and she invited him into her home. He did not question why she was doing this even though he does not know who she is at all. Shakespeare probably did scenes like this to draw out more confusion in the play, and cause more catastrophes. That is what this whole play is, confusion, misunderstanding, mistakes and errors.
Having two sets of twins, not knowing that they are all in the same place, gets very confusing. This causes a lot of mix-ups that occur, the audience knows about but the characters do not. Shakespeare set up the beginning of the play to inform the audience what is going to occur in the play, basically to warn them about the disorder. The audience is supposed to know that the characters get mixed up, but the characters have no idea, Shakespeare did this on purpose. This is the whole point of the play, wh...
