Whats a man?

What is a Man?
Masculinity and manhood are very general, self opinionated topics. What does it mean to be a man? How does one qualify for the title? Is the term "man" simply referring to male human beings, or does it hold a greater measure of meaning in society? By definition, the word “man” is described as “an adult human being as distinguished from a female". In William Shakespeare’s Macbeth, the main characters frequently dwell on this question and each have their own attitude towards the necessary qualities a true man must possess. Throughout the course of the play, we see a drastic change in not only the roll that both Macbeth and Lady Macbeth play in their relationship, but also their personal intentions and goals and just how far they will go to achieve these goals. One thing that never changes, however, is the stress which Lady Macbeth poses on her husband’s masculinity.
