On the sixth day god created man. Later, man developed a mind. As a result of this, man wanted to mimic god by giving an inanimate object life. In Steven Spielberg’s film Artificial Intelligence, he investigates the possible consequences of man attempting to create an intelligent being. In the film, scientists create a life form which possesses many human characteristics. David, the main character in the movie, embarks on a journey to transform himself from an artificial boy into a real boy. Along the way, he teaches us through his experiences and allows us to understand what exactly constitutes a true human being. The essential question is can man create man?
