What’s To Love in Limerick Ireland?
Of all of the wondrous places to see in Ireland, Limerick has never been classified as one of the most famous places to see nor has it been classified as one of the most exciting tourist attractions to visit. In contrast to Ireland’s other larger cities, Limerick has always “taken a back seat.” As stated in the Limerick Leader, “Limerick was once described in a tourist book as being best seen through the rear-view mirror of a car when leaving it behind.” But, through my research, I have found that Limerick Ireland is a famous place to see and is an exciting tourist attraction to visit if a person’s interests are of the historical and intellectual nature.
As seen by the map below, Limerick Ireland is located at the head of the long estuary of Shannon River. This location, at the head of the Shannon River, makes Limerick a great place to begin an exciting tour of Ireland (Grand European Tours 8).
