What makes a good leader

In my opinion a good leader has many different attributes. First of all I believe that an effective leader is a person who has a dream and a vision that will improve society, or at least, some portion of it. A good leader has to feel passionate about their dream or vision, because if they are not, they will not be able to make the necessary difficult and sometimes unpopular decisions that are often needed.
