What is Thinking

What is thinking? Can machines think? If not, why not?
What is thinking? Thinking is one part computation based on interpretation of known facts, one part reasoning, and one-part ethereal interpretations of feelings.
Thinking is not just sheer computational reasoning. It incorporates all that is human. Thought processes are not just black and white they are often varying shades of gray. When a human being confronts a problem they think about it. Humans cannot just compute the answer. It is hard for humans to separate feelings from their thoughts. We even develop modes of trying to, but not completely eliminate feelings from the thought process via critical thinking. This does not mean humans are flawed due to feeling and bias. This is actually an asset in some circumstances.
