What is E-business?

E-business (electronic business), derived from such terms as "e-mail" and "e-commerce," is the conduct of business on the Internet, not only buying and selling but also servicing customers and collaborating with business partners.

To understand e-business one must understand what is not e-business. E-business does not mean that all businesses go and close there shops and start selling their products over the Internet. E-business does not mean that all marketing staff in an organisation can go home after the firms starts an e-marketing website. E-business does not mean that people will no longer need banks...
