What Is an Adult Learner

In life you’re confronted with questions that you might not have the answer to. In a lot of cases if there is an answer, not everyone will agree with it. For example, “What is an adult learner?” Everyone has a different interpretation of what an adult learner is. The good thing is that there’s no right or wrong answer.
I believe an adult learner is a person over the age of 18. The adult learner ranges from different educational background, age, life experience, career and religion but they all have some of the same characteristics.
In addition, the adult learner initiates learning. They are no longer obligated to learn but have a strong desire to learn. They believe that going back to school is very important in order to better themselves in a career of their choice. Adult learners know what they want in life. They set a goal for themselves and implement it. They are outspoken and bring their life experiences to the class. They are readily to learn from ...
