What do you Consider to be the Main Theme of Harper Lee’s Novel “To Kill a Mocking Bird?”

The novel “To Kill a Mocking Bird” by Harper Lee is about the story of a black man, Tom Robinson on trial for the rape of Mayella Ewell. Atticus Finch, who is the protagonist of the novel, is chosen to defend Tom Robinson. Atticus defends Tom Robinson with strong facts and in my opinion shows that Tom Robinson is innocent of the crime he has been accused of committing. The main theme of this novel is the prejudice that Ms. Jean-Louise Finch (Scout) sees during her childhood. Scout receives prejudice because of her gender.
Scout is the new Southern woman, strong-willed, opinionated and accepting. Although she is still young and under the guidance of Atticus we still see that there is prejudice against her because she is a girl. She has a code of understanding and acceptance of all human beings just like Atticus. When Scout says in the end
“I think there’s just one kind of folks, folks”
