What do Texts 2A and 2B (The Conciliation and The National Picture) show about changing perspective?

Texts 2A & 2B were chosen to be included in the booklet "Changing" as they are both relevant and useful to a study of Change, & in particular Changing Perspective. Text 2A, The Conciliation, shows Truganini and her Aboriginal community surrounded by the natural environment. In the centre of the text satnds George Robinson, a missionary who at the time of 1840, tried to help the Aborigines. The Conciliation was made by Benjamin Duterrau. Text 2B, The National Picture, by Geoff Parr is an adaptation of Duterrau's work, The Conciliation. In it, the same background has been used as that of Text 2A. Truganini also appears in this text, however, she has been transformed. Firstly, a hand has been pasted on her portrait & the portrait isn't of the whole Truganini. The surrounding environment in The National Picture is artificial in contrast with text 2A & also Truganini is the only main Aboriginal person in the picture surrounded by white people.
