Western Civilization

In the beginning there was no east or west civilization. The first peoples of the world were nomadic. They had to follow food and resources for survival. Food storage was discovered in 9500 B.C.E. and this was a major key in establishing a civilization. Humans could now store grain for use when grain did not grow and the learning that seeds grow grain, they could more effectively manage production of food. This led to a more sedentary way of life. Humans had now learned to provide food for themselves and had more control over the timeing and growth of food. They could avoid famine and produce food fro domestic animals. More permanent housing was beginning to be fashioned and the specialization of other needs.. I have thought about this essay for weeks and wondered what exactly was I missing while I was reading. I wasn't sure what the western identity was or what it meant to me. It seemed it was obvious…we are Christian, the easterners, they are islam. Yet, that was too simple and ...
