Water conservation has many meanings. It means storing, saving, reducing or recycling water. For farmers who irrigate, they have to increase uniformity of application and improve it. Municipalities have to educate residents about water-saving habits to promote water conservation. While for industry, they have to identify other resource in conserving method and reuse water used in manufacturing and cooling.

Water conservation can be started from home and here are some ways which are very easy to do, no matter where we live. When washing dishes by hand, do not let the the water run while rinsing. Fill one sink with wash water and the other with rinse water. Never pour water down the drain when there maybe another use for it such as watering houseplants. Store drinking water in the refrigerator. Don’t let the tap run while you are waiting for cool water to flow.
