Wave Height
To measure wave height a student would hold the range poles in the way demonstrated in fig by placing the tip at the trough of the wave. As a wave moved toward us the height of water against the stick rose and we were able to estimate the height of the wave against the range pole, which sectioned of in 20cm segments. Each person did this ten times at each site.
